# In/Out Board

Your In/Out Board is a personal list of coworkers and their current timeclock status — in, out, in a meeting, at lunch — so you can see who is around without asking. You build it from the people an administrator has allowed you to follow. It is available whenever Timeclock is turned on (see [General Options](https://theasst.com/docs/general-options/)), and your login must be linked to a Personnel record (see [Users and Permissions](https://theasst.com/docs/users-and-permissions/)).

## Seeing Your Board

Open the [Utility Menu](https://theasst.com/docs/utility-menu/) and click **In/Out Board**. It lists everyone on your board with their current status. People are shown in the order you chose.

## Managing Your Board

Open **My Stuff → In/Out Board**, or click **Manage my In/Out board** in the Utility Menu.

- **Drag to reorder** — drag people up or down. This is the order your board appears in everywhere it is shown. Remove someone with the delete control next to their name.
- **Add from my allowed groups** — tick one or more [groups](https://theasst.com/docs/personnel-groups/) and click **Add Selected Groups** to add every current member to the bottom of your board. People already on the board are skipped.
- **Add an individual** — pick a person from the list and click **Add Selected**. Anyone already on your board isn’t offered.
- **Save Board** — keep your changes.

## Who You Can Choose

You can only add groups and individuals that a Timeclock administrator has allowed on the **In/Out** tab of your [Personnel record](https://theasst.com/docs/personnel-overview/). The first time anything is allowed, a default board is created for you automatically, alphabetical by first name. After that, the allow-list only controls what you may choose from; it never changes a board you have already customized.

## Where Statuses Come From

A person’s status changes when they clock in or out at the [kiosk](https://theasst.com/docs/timeclock-and-kiosk/), or choose a status from their own Utility Menu. The available statuses are set up in [Timeclock Statuses Setup](https://theasst.com/docs/timeclock-statuses-setup/).
