# My Color Theme and Preferences

Some settings are for the whole company, and some are just for you. These two pages under **My Stuff** change only what *you* see; nobody else is affected.

## My Color Theme

Open **My Stuff → My Color Theme**. The page lists every theme available: the company themes set up by your administrator (see [Color Themes Setup](https://theasst.com/docs/color-themes-setup/)) and any you have made yourself.

- **Use** — click the radio button next to a theme. It takes effect immediately and stays with your login.
- **Theme Name** — three themes come standard: *Teal*, *Light*, and *Dark*.
- **Edit Theme** — to design your own, copy a theme and then edit your copy. Give it a name and choose a color for each part of the screen. Colors update as you pick them so you can see the result.

If you never choose, you use the company default theme chosen by your administrator. A theme is only a matter of looks; it never changes your data or permissions. Samples of the three standard themes are in [The Basics](https://theasst.com/docs/the-basics/).

## My Preferences

Open **My Stuff → My Preferences**. The page is a table of **Section**, **Name**, **Setting**, and **Description**. Today it has one preference:

- **Show/use GL account numbers** (Accounting section) — whether G/L account numbers are shown and used throughout TBA, just for you. Choose *Use company default*, *Yes*, or *No*. The page shows what the company default currently is, which is set in [Default G/L Settings](https://theasst.com/docs/default-g-l-settings/).

Save after changing a setting. Other personal arrangements, such as the tiles on your home page, are made where you use them; see [Home Page and Menu Pages](https://theasst.com/docs/home-page-and-menu-pages/).
