# Shipping Methods

Shipping Methods defines the shipping options available on [Purchase Orders](https://theasst.com/docs/purchase-orders/) -- e.g. Ground, Freight, Will Call.

Type a method name into a blank row, reorder with the arrows, and click **Save Changes**.

## Using the List

- Type a name into a blank row to add a method; a new blank row appears below it.
- Use the up and down arrows to put the most-used methods first, since that is the order they appear in the dropdown.
- Click the red X to remove a method.
- Nothing is saved until you click **Save Changes**.

## Where Methods Are Used

The **Ship method** dropdown on a [Purchase Order](https://theasst.com/docs/purchase-orders/), and the `{{PoShipMethod}}` placeholder in the PO email template (see [General Options](https://theasst.com/docs/general-options/)). Removing a method doesn’t change POs that already used it.
