TBA Foundation · Lesson 9 of 9 · about 1½ hours
After this lesson you can #
- Run a report for a period, and print or export it.
- Choose the right report for a question.
Why it matters #
Reports turn what you entered into answers: who owes you, what you owe, what you sold, and how the business is doing.
Read #
- Reports articles (AR Aging, AP Aging, Sales Summary, the financial statements)
- Client Average Days to Pay
The big picture #
Pick the report, set the period, run it. Reports can be printed as PDF or exported to a spreadsheet, and the settings you choose are remembered for next time. The questions you will ask most often have a report each: AR Aging (who owes me, and how late?), AP Aging (what do I owe?), Sales Summary (what did I sell?), the balance sheet (what do I own and owe today?) and the profit and loss (how did I do over a period?).
Try it #
- Run each of the five reports above for last month in a demo company, and export one.
- Write one question each report answers.
Check yourself #
Can you pick the right report for each of these questions without looking? A practice quiz and certification exams are planned for a later release. When you have finished the Foundation lessons, the Specialist lessons go deeper into each area.
